20 . 12 . 12

A word from our CEO…

Well what an exciting year we have had at twentysix! Despite the economic downturn we’ve seen continued growth as an agency, as digital increasingly moves into the centre of everyone’s marketing strategy.

Here are some of our highlights of 2012:

  • We have expanded our operations into Asia, embedding ourselves in the Hong Kong and Shanghai offices of our sister agency The Gate Worldwide, and opening a new twentysix office in Singapore, where our New Business Development Director Alison Curry is helping us to tap into this fast-growing market.
  • In February we were ranked at number 49 in the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Small Companies to Work for – an achievement that I am extremely proud of. Happy people are productive people, and making the agency a great place to work has always been very important to me.  This award is a testament to the great talent that we continue to attract and nurture here at twentysix.
  • In November we also won a BIMA award for Gallery of Mo, our hugely successful fundraising website for the Movember campaign. This is our sixth industry award this year.
  •  The Gallery of Mo campaign also raised a record breaking £11,600 with 598 portraits commissioned. We enjoyed significant media coverage, including 3 BBC radio interviews with lead designer Adam Campion, and we gained a celebrity fan in the one and only Stephen Fry, who tweeted his support for the campaign!
  • We currently employ an additional 12 staff compared to this time last year. Our affiliates division has grown by 350%, and in terms of revenue our search division is now around the 24th largest in the UK – a great achievement for the team!
  • We now have 7 EPiServer certified developers and 10 standard EPiServer developers, which makes us the 2nd largest EPiServer development agency in the UK specialising in the full range of EPiServer products.
  • On a personal level we’ve had six twentysix babies born, an engagement, a marriage, a few dirty fumbles and some Christmas kisses at the party – I daren’t mention any names!
  • Some statistics to end on: In 2012 we have consumed 3,500 beers, eaten 1000 Pizzas, drank over 8000 pints of milk, used 220kg of coffee, over 90,000 colour copies and used 71,000 ml of liquid soap – (I am glad to say)! Hodgson is our most common surname and James is our most common first name.

Finally, I just want to say a big thank you to all our clients, and to the agency team!

Merry Christmas, I hope Santa is kind to you all!
